Research on Digital Literacy Levels Among Children in Childcare Institutions in Kenya

Published by the KNATCOM Journal, the article investigates how children in childcare institutions access and use digital technologies and the level of digital literacy skills they possess. Digital literacy, defined as the ability to access, evaluate, and use digital technologies and information, is increasingly critical for education, communication, and social participation in the digital age. However, children living in institutional care often experience barriers such as limited infrastructure, inadequate training, and lack of structured digital learning opportunities.
